Controlled Burn
is produced by the Associate in Fine Arts degree
program of Kirtland Community College and is funded
through the Kirtland General Fund, the Division of
Literature and Language Arts, and the Division of
Fine Arts.
Controlled Burn accepts
unsolicited manuscripts of poetry, fiction, and
creative non-fiction between May 1 and December 1
of each year; all manuscripts received outside this
reading period will be returned unread. Mail
submissions to Controlled Burn , Kirtland Community
College, Roscommon, MI 48653. (Manuscripts sent
without an SASE will not be returned. )

Simultaneous submissions
are not encouraged but are accepted; however, please
indicate in your cover letter if you are submitting
your manuscript to other journals concurrently.
